the lineup

Friday, October 12, 2007

I was going to show you my project lineup that causes many sleepless nights over here. However, the line is so long, I decided to show you the lineup that resides in my kitchen, and not in my head. From left to right.
::tea pot. Usually only used at night.
:: stove top espresso maker. Usually used only in the afternoon. Easy directions to make a delicious cup found here, by Blair.
:: coffee maker. Usually used only in the morning. 10-12 cups always waiting for us.
:: espresso maker. Usually only used to steam/froth my milk. Always only used for the cup of espresso.
:: TAZO tea. Lotus green (decaf) for me, please.
::biscotti. Usually only eaten with the cup of espresso. Delicious recipe here, by Elinor.

I am pretty sure that this lineup is not causing the sleepless nights. Nope, it would have to be the projects, since most of the above is usually decaf. (Except for the pot of coffee, that is always regular.)
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, if there is ever a day I come to the end of my projects and let my mind rest, I will be shocked! If you figure a way to turn off the constant mulling, please do let me know. Have a great weekend!

  4. Ha! I'm having major project anxiety right now. It's on my mind all of the time! And what do I do? You know! Start another project! I'm out of control here. For the love of all that is good please stop me. :/

  5. What a lovely line-up. I just had to pack up most of my counter top items - I'm left with the lonely coffee-pot for my pick-me-up in the mornings/afternoons/evenings.

  6. Looks very inviting. And can I just say that I love that you take so many photos of all the big and little moments. I love the shot of your daughter's hair clip on her clothes. I take those shots too. I always want to remember that they loved to wear "grown-up" shoes and walk around the house in them.

You have now given me company in misery. I have just gone through my third sleepless night and there is absolutely no explanation but that of my endless mullings over whether to do the Drops jacket next, or the slouchy cardigan, or clementine's cardi, or sunrise surprise jacket and whether Jaeger extra fine merino or rowan felted tweed or classic elite charmed or... and that is just the knitting side of the brain!! When I get started on the exciting new sewing projects I want to tackle using good-ness fabric, I am wide awake for hours. Thanks for sharing, Leslie!!

  20. That's a coffee and tea lover's paradise you got going there. I have two cups of coffee in the morning and a few cups of hot tea the rest of the day. Decaf preferred too:)Homemade biscottis are the best!

  21. I have become very addicted to that stovetop espresso maker. I am now in search of an upgrade.

  22. I love my frothy coffee in the morning too but got to the point of being tired of using the steamer. Now I microwave my milk and then use an Aerolatte which is a battery powered mini whisk which gives the milk the nice foamy top that is so yummy with the coffee. The Aerolatte lives in a drawer...one less thing on the counter! :)
