for their baskets

First of all, I want to thank you for all the nice words on my sewing skills!  You sure know how to make a girl feel good, and I like how you let me know not to be so hard on myself.  Imperfections can be part of the handmade charm.  I know I need to work on that.
I wanted to make something for my kids easter baskets and originally thought I might knit these.  However, I thought they may require too much time.  Precious time that should be spent working on Ruby.
Kim also made some of these cute little birds and mentioned they took an hour each.  Perfect.
The pattern is here, designed by curlypurly.
I used scraps of cotton yarn with the same gauge.  They are easy, quick and fun.  And,  guess what?  You still have time to make some before easter!

Those are just too cute for words! And especially so in their nest.
I just knit a little wsweater for Kristen's Webkinz! Will post it about it tomorrow.

oh my gosh those are cute. I wonder if I have time....

So cute! I love the way they look in the nest! I know! In a nest of Mini Cadbury eggs!

I'm addicted to these things. Although, like you, I felt my time would be better spent this past weekend making something else. But you can be sure I'll be making more of them before the weekend!

ohhhhute... I had similar ideas but I think I left it too late and might have to go with felt ones. I love your colours too.

They are so damn cute. It gives me hope that Spring may actually be on the way!

oh leslie, these three are too sweet--nice job! And the jumper too. You are the only one who would notice the plaid not matching, but I hear you on being critical of your own craftsmanship. I am a lot more critical of the clothes that I make.

So precious, Leslie!! So do you think my kids, age 23 and 27 are too old for them or Easter baskets? Just what I thought you'd say. Of course, they aren't.

Oh sooo cute! What a great idea too. Let's see, I have 3 nephews and 1 niece, think I can do it? Would be prefect out of my Touché scraps… well, I could always at least get one done for the niece ; )

thanks for the links and your birdies are so cute!

Those birds are so cute and fun to make. I did mine in red but gave it to my grandmother without taking a picture, darn! I guess I'll have to make another one :)

Ohmigosh, I love the little birdies! How adorable! *sigh* And now of course, it has to be added to the list. :)

So sweet! Can you believe how early Easter is? My kids baskets need all help they can get. Thanks for the link. Any new Cookies lately? Have a great week and a wonderful Easter!

The birdies are adorable and perfect for Easter. I am going to look at the pattern and see if there is any way this inexperienced knitter can tackle them!

Those are so cute!! What a wonderful idea!

I have the perfect blue yarn but I'm picturing a little blue bird of a different dimension... Hmmm, we'll see.

So cute! (Though in one of those weird ironies of life, I am staring at their exact opposite - a fairly vicious looking - if handsome in his own way - red-tailed hawk on a tree outside not 15 feet away.) It's weird to have them in the same "frame." But cool, too...

Oh my goodness. I think I am in love with those chicks. Thanks for the link.
