I am plugging along. Not necessarily at a fast pace, but still moving forward, which is a good thing.
I really wanted to show how this sweater is constructed. It is worked from right to left, instead of from bottom to top, or top to bottom. And for that reason, I am so enjoying this pattern. The body is one piece. You bind off in two places, and then cast back on, for the armholes.
Can you see where it is going? I will just continue around the back, bind off, then back on, for another armhole, and continue to the end. Then knit the sleeves. Doesn't seem like much, huh? The cable pattern is easy to follow, again if your mind doesn't wander. Those cables look gorgeous, especially in that first picture. Funny how the color looks different every time you take a pic. I wish I had the patience to take on something like that, but I'm all for a quick knit (as you could tell by the cami) ;-) I've cast on for a shrug now, and have a deadline of Easter so I can wear it with a dress I have. I'll take pics soon.

Beautiful work on those cables - it's looking so great. Ruby sounds similar in construction to Imogen, which I just finished. It was really interesting to knit in a new (sideways)direction. I thought sknitty's Imogen was so nice, I cast on immediately in the same yarn, but my FO was way too big - I am sure frogland is approaching.

It is looking fabulous. I have just finished the body and started the first sleeve. I had some horrors with the final part of the body, the welt increases? I kept getting holes appearing when using the kfb twice, giant holes! Eventually I botched my own increases, let me know if you have the same problem and I will expand on what I did.
