Well, if someone were to walk behind you with a magnifying glass, they MIGHT be able to see WHAT???? One tiny stitch over to one side, IF that is what you are talking about. Seriously, no mistakes can be seen to me! I think we need to call you Ms. Perfectionist! You will look great in that sweater and I can't wait to see it completed.

As Elizabeth said, if you need arrows.... Mother knows best, yet again. As my Mum is no longer with us I ask my ten-year old boy, who is eagle eyed and blazingly honest "Can you see anything wrong with this?" Many is the time he's made me rip back and do it right, but lots of times he's said "Looks fine to me", too. Lovely colour, can't wait to see the finished garment.

Can you share her email with the rest of us? I'm certain we'd all like to ask Jeeves our knitting questions. : ) How nice to have such a great fondness for Mom.

Lovely sweater. I cannot wait to see the whole sweater. My grandmother used to say, if it doesn't have an error, then it's not homemade ... I think of that often in my knitting. Yet, I tend to rip out all the time.

That is so great! Why is it that moms know everything? Just comes with the territory I guess. I call my mom with all of my difficult questions too. Sad thing is that she doesn't knit or crochet. I have to lean on my crafty friends for those kind of questions. Everyhting else though...she's got me covered:)

You are very right. I find myself looking to my mom for parenting advice more times than I care to admit. Although she raised twin girls....she seems to have all the answers on raising rambunctuous little boys.

I obviously am a bit more into the knitting than the wearing, because I don't go back to fix things like that (or the much more major things that happen in my knitting). I just speed on through, wear it or not, and get onto the next thing to knit. There are very few mistakes that are going to make something unwearable, especially if they are on the back!

Of course, this makes me sound very lackadaisical, but I'm not really that lazy about it. I just pick and choose which things will bother me and something that small that would take a huge amount of time and possibly brain power to go out and fix... not important enough to do!

If you really cannot stand it the more you look at it(the knitters perfection syndrome -KPS), don't rip but drop that 2 stitches all the way down to the row that you want to do the correction, then use a crochet hood to bring the stitches back to the top.

I think it's great you are able to take your mother's advice! I drive myself crazy with perfectionism... I have ripped back entire things because of 1 tiny mistake no one would ever notice but me.... for some reason it niggles at me and niggles at me... i really am trying to learn to let go a little more! it drives my husband insane!

I've to say, I dont know if its the clashing colors or the bad grammar, but this blog is hideous!
