for nest

Wednesday, October 07, 2009

I mentioned before how much I love nest. This year they were asking for donations of hats, mittens, cowls, scarves and socks. Well, Cosy's book pretty much has patterns to cover all of those things. Basic patterns that are quick, easy and great for all levels. There are also plenty of ideas for embellishing. Gotta love when you can embellish something with a little star to make a child feel just like that...a Star.

I shipped these out yesterday. A little late, but I'm thinking donations are always welcome over there.
Have a great one!

  2. These are so great! I wanted to leave a post to tell you how much I LOVE your blog! It's so warm, cozy and just all around yummy. I'm not much of a knitter but I'd love to become one! I do other random craft projects though and sewing projects. I just LOVE the sweater of yours that you and your sister have the same - long cardigan with sort of a ruffle (the one you said doesn't photograph well....which I think you did just fine with)...I'm not sure what it's called. Anyways, you're amazing!!

  9. So cute! Would you believe I have a stack of stuff for Nest... but never sent it off, thinking I'd add "just one more thing..." and now here it is, too late. Maybe I'll save it, keep adding to it, and then send off a big batch next year...

  10. I adore things like this. It's a reason for me to make a simple scarf in a child's color. If I start now, maybe it will be done for next year?

  37. Can I make a suggestion? I think youve got something good here. But what if you happen to added a couple links to a page that backs up what youre saying? Or perhaps you could possibly give us something to take a look at, something that might join what youre saying to one thing tangible? Just a suggestion. Anyway, in my language, there will not be much good supply like this.

  40. Thank you for the wise critique. Me & my neighbour have been getting ready to do a little analysis about that. We received an excellent guide on that matter from our local library and most books where not as influensive as your information. I am very glad to see such information which I used to be searching for a protracted time. This made very glad! Anyway, in my language, there aren't a lot good source like this.
