I love a good cupcake recipe.

Vanilla Cupcakes
1 1/2 sticks softened butter::1 cup sugar::3 large eggs::1 1/2 cups cake flour::1 TBLS warm water::2 tsp. vanilla extract.
Place oven rack on lower-middle position and heat oven to 400˚. Line 12 muffin tins with cupcake papers. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Starting and ending with an egg alternate adding eggs and flour, beating until each is thoroughly incorporated. beat in water and vanilla until just incorporated. Divide batter evenly among prepared cups. Bake until fully cooked and golden, 15-17 minutes. Let cupcakes stand a couple of minutes then cool on wire rack.
Cream Cheese Frosting
4TBLS softened butter::8 ounces of cream cheese, softened::3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
Beat butter and cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Beat in confectioners' sugar.

Oh my, if these cupcakes are as good as the chocolate chip cookies with bread flour, I cannot imagine!! Oh I cannot wait to try these tomorrow when I have to make some cupcakes for an event. Thanks so much for sharing. I haven't tried your scones recipe yet, but plan to someday soon.

I never make cupcakes. I'm not sure why. We used to eat them often when I was a little girl. Now I'm here looking at your photograph and thinking...hmmm...I think I need some cupcakes in my life.

I read your blog all the time, and i know that you live near Pittsburgh. I have a friend that is moving to that area and would like some input on districts and school.
She is looking at the Franklin Park or upper Saint Claire areas..would like some land and stay around 425 k for housing. Do you have any suggestions? She really wants a good school for her 14 year old son who will be starting high school...

I should teach my girls to make cupcakes from scratch, then they could be in charge of desserts on Sundays... hmmm, sounds like a plan!
