summer '10

They jumped. Just like in the past. (Except with bigger feet. Lead in their legs. And a dog named Trouble standing by to witness the craziness.)

I guess that makes it pretty much official. Summer '10 has begun.
And to celebrate, my sweet friend, Michelle, treated the kids to delicious cupcakes. That made everyone extremely happy.
Making me happy... seeing the rhubarb and strawberries in my CSA share. Pretty sure I'll be making this. Oh, and there were garlic scapes in there, too. Really looking forward to making this again. SO good.
Happy Days.

  2. Oh no, you are making me crave rhubarb again. I've only seen scapes once. In Vermont. I bought a bunch and used them in everything. I recall them being super tasty in a potato salad I made. Enjoy!

  19. I just have to comment about Trouble ;) I couldn't tell in your previous pic if Trouble was an Airedale or a Welsh Terrier. We have a very goofy Airedale named Archie who's now 7 and has finally figured out how to act like a dog but still doesn't realize he's an Airedale (ie. he hates water and he's never met a stranger he doesn't love, lol.)

    Happy Summer!
