i'm hooked

Thursday, October 10, 2013

Well, I wish I was talking about my crochet hook. That hat is giving me troubles. (Insert bug-eyed emoji here. -I use my emoji's so much that I miss them in this space!)

But this cowl?!  Such a joy to make.  Super fast AND easy on the wallet.
All the things that make you feel great.  So great, that I think I took about 100 photos of them.
I'm thinking I will just make them just to give them away.  To make others feel great, too.
You know, spread the joy!
I think they would make a perfect Christmas gift, also.

Pattern:  Drop Stitch Cowl
Yarn:  Lion Brand Wool-Ease

  7. I love your cowls and the colours are gorgeous. I wish sometimes we had winter season over the Christmas break, it would be fun to make cowls and scarves and give them as Christmas gifts.

Beautiful! Just checked the pattern...just curious, did you add any additional stitches to the cast on? Thanks!

  12. cute! I'm still a much faster crocheter than knitter, I'm thinking I could work up something very similar using single and triple crochet. Really love the colors you chose.

What a great cowl pattern-thanks for posting (I think). I just ordered 16" 15 needles, and picked up some Wool Ease chunky yarn. You have much better color choices than here. Knitting will commence once the needles arrive!

I like the look of cowls. Every time I come by neat patterns I save them for later, but I never make one because I'll never wear it.
The gift idea is great though, so these are on my Christmas to-do list! :-)

    PS.
Do you know someone who crochets? Something just clicked for me when my friend showed me how.
