At our house these are a book, a puzzle, a game, new crayons and/or markers, new sketchbooks and an artsy kind of thing. My son isn't particularly artsy but still loves thiese things.

For birthdays we do scavenger hunts and they have to find their gifts--usually one at each location with the first clue in their card.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115356.post-80905843222370950942007-09-24T01:17:00.000-04:002007-09-24T01:17:00.000-04:00twelve? wow, happy birthday Charlie! One birthday my sister opened the door and the balloons flew in towards her and she let out a shriek, she later said she thought that pigs were charging her from the hallway (the balloons were pink, but she must have been awfully groggy to think pigs)!
xxoxo,
SSabrina Hirschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10674065534217035013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115356.post-40659262740543115492007-09-23T19:59:00.000-04:002007-09-23T19:59:00.000-04:00I am soooo happy for Charlie that he knows his mom...I am soooo happy for Charlie that he knows his mom is not perfect! Last Christmas, we asked our 21 year old what he wanted for Christmas, and he said what he really wanted was to come home and open presents under the tree. I guess it's hard letting go of childhood traditions.Yarnhoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06625926254864861603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35115356.post-83197009815033765642007-09-20T21:28:00.000-04:002007-09-20T21:28:00.000-04:00Happy Birthday Charlie.
