I truly couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Pretty much exactly what I had in mind.

I do think that I would like this best without the contrasting colors. But since I am tying all three sweaters together, I had to use a bit of their colors. 
Pattern: My own. I am going to write it up soon, if anyone is interested.Yarn: Classic Elite, Portland tweed. (Pretty much the softest, most wonderful tweed that I have ever worked with.) 7 balls

Oh yes! I have been thinking of that very design for my dd. But I am not great at designing because I am so not good at math. This is lovely for a young girl. My six year old, who wears a size 7/8, would love to wear this to school.

this turned out so beautifully. integrated is the word that comes to mind when i look at the design. i especially love that band of garter stitch across the top of the back. and your set in sleeves look impeccable.
